UCHICAGO TRIVIA

Today's Question:

Which of the following members of the British royal family have visited the University of Chicago campus?
a) Queen Elizabeth II
b) King Charles III
c) Prince Philip
d) All of the above

Answer:

D) All of the above

Several members of the British royal family have visited the University of Chicago. King Charles III, formerly known as the Prince of Wales, had a memorable visit in October 1977, dining with faculty and students and engaging in a lively Q&A session. Edward, Duke of Windsor, dropped by in 1924 and admired the Hutchinson Commons windows inspired by Christ Church halls. Prince Philip, consort of the late Queen Elizabeth II, explored the campus site of the first controlled nuclear reaction. Queen Elizabeth II herself made a grand entrance on July 6, 1959, arriving via the Royal Yacht Britannia and spent part of her day in Hyde Park, including a visit to the University of Chicago.
