Early Voting on Campus

Early voting will be available at the Reynolds Club (5706 S University Ave) in the McCormick Tribune Lounge from October 30 to November 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All Chicago voters can register the same day and vote regardless of their precinct or ward. Additional early voting locations can be found on the Chicago Elections website.

Election Day

On election day, your polling place will depend on the ward you live in. You can look up polling places by zip code on the Illinois Online Voter Application website.

According to the University’s 505 Policy on voting, staff are expected to vote during their non-working hours, but in situations when that’s not possible, up to three hours off with pay may be allowed to vote. For more details, please refer to the 505 – Voting policy.

UChicago Voting Resources

UChicago partners with TurboVote, a non-partisan platform that assists the University community in registering to vote, voting by mail and accessing resources to vote with confidence.

Find additional voting resources and ways to get involved on the UChiVotes website, a student-led, non-partisan voter engagement initiative founded out of the Institute of Politics to boost voter turnout and engagement on the UChicago campus.
