Q: What do you enjoy the most about your work?

In many ways, I am a storyteller whose job is to ensure EPIC India's research story is communicated in a digestible manner to different stakeholders—we are constantly trying to flavor creative treatments in our storytelling. At times we use visuals through videos and films, then at times, we use audio through voice posts, and sometimes we use design elements through infographics, posters, etc., to understand the best ways to communicate. It's this freedom to test, fail and learn from communication experiments that excites me the most.

Q: What is your favorite lunch spot when you're at work?

Our office has a pantry corner—the Office Pantry—where we make memories while enjoying our meals.

Q: What is your commute like?

I have a 90-minute drive (one way) through the city's dense traffic daily. So, it is a bit long, but I have found peace with it, and I don't seem to mind it anymore. Also, driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic helps me grow patience, and that's the silver lining of this travel journey every day.

Q: What is one thing about Delhi that you would like someone who has never visited to know?

The city is home to a rich history that often gets overlooked. So, if you want to glimpse a city that has been the capital of several empires, like good spicy food, and are happy to navigate through a sea of people, then you must come and feel the capital of the world's largest democracy once in your lifetime.

Q: How does your role interact with UChicago's main campus in Hyde Park?

Digital interactions and zoom call every fortnight—that's what kind of dots our communication with the team in Chicago. But the overall, EPIC’s function is highly integrated and cuts across the geographical distance of 7,000+ miles between the teams.
