Manuele joined Chicago Booth at the beginning of 2022 as the Senior Associate Director, Global Employer Relations APAC. Q: What do you enjoy most about your work?
I am enjoying meeting different companies and potential employers, and understanding their recruiting needs to see how I can help them in their strategic hiring with Chicago Booth talent.
Q: What is your favorite lunch spot when you’re at work?
I enjoy eating with colleagues on the first floor—from the students’ hall, there is a beautiful view overlooking the outlying islands of Hong Kong. It could very sunny, and its open views always makes me feel happy.
Q: What is your commute like?
I commute to Campus with just a couple of stops of the metro, then I take a comfortable and convenient minibus that drops me right outside our Campus entrance.
Q: What is one thing about Hong Kong that the average tourist/visitor wouldn’t know?
Average tourists to Hong Kong don’t know that they could only pay for the cabs with cash, and no credit cards are accepted on taxis. At the same time, they don’t know how convenient and efficient public transportation could be.
Q: What surprises visitors to the Hong Kong campus the most?
Our Campus is still very new and the vistas from the windows are stunning! There is also an older section of our Campus, with interesting historical buildings that have been restored very nicely. There are also temporary exhibitions held in there.
