Reporting & Analytics
The FST program is one initiative in a broader effort to modernize University administrative operations. Going forward, the University will have two new reporting platforms: Oracle Cloud & Orbit Analytics.
- Oracle Cloud Reporting (Transactional Users)–Used to report data within Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud Reporting will provide operational reporting in real-time to provisioned users.
- Orbit Analytics (Data Consumers)–Used for ad-hoc reporting, financial reporting, and analytical reporting, Orbit Analytics will include reports and dashboards that consist of data from various sources combined with Oracle Cloud data. Data from Oracle Cloud will be refreshed in Orbit once nightly.
How will transitioning to Oracle Cloud ERP affect reporting?
Many campus systems currently used for finance and financial reporting operations will be retrofitted or replaced with Oracle Cloud ERP. In the future, users will go to Oracle Cloud and/or Orbit Analytics for their reporting needs, depending on roles and security provisioning.
