What is Workday?

Workday is UChicago's integrated, cloud-based Human Resource Information System (HRIS). It provides key functions and processes across areas such as HR and workforce management, payroll, benefits, compensation, absence reporting, time tracking, performance management, training and learning, and recruiting in a single online platform.

UChicago faculty, other academic appointees, staff, and students with campus jobs can log on and use Workday to view and manage their personal information, complete W-4 and I-9 tasks, view their payslips and/or payroll tax information, request a leave of absence, and elect their benefits (if eligible), among other things. Workday is a valuable platform that supports all employees throughout their career at the University.
