Workday Learning is the part of the Workday platform that houses different trainings, workshops, and guided orientations for UChicago employees. Learning modules can be assigned for an employee automatically to help with onboarding new employees, completing required annual trainings, and supporting professional development.

To access Workday Learning, visit the Workday login page and enter your CnetID and password. If you don’t have a CNetID, or can’t remember it, please read the “CNET Overview” article in the ServiceNow Knowledge Base. Once you are logged in, click on “MENU” in the upper left corner and then click on “Learning.” This is where all of your Workday Learning trainings and online courses can be accessed.

Important FST Training

As part of the Financial Systems Transformation (FST) program, the University of Chicago will implement a new chart of accounts (COA), replacing the existing financial accounting system (FAS). The COA will become the system for organizing the University's financial accounts in the general ledger, the complete bookkeeping record for the entire institution's financial transactions. As a Tier 1 system with a direct impact on FST, Workday will be retrofitted to seamlessly integrate with the Oracle and Orbit systems. The Workday cutover build is integral part to ensuring accurate payroll costing allocation post FST go-live. Workday retrofits include mapping of all FAS and FAS Sub-accounts to the new COA and POETAF strings across Earnings, Positions, Worker, OTP, post 7/1 PAPs, and Supervisory Organizations, creation of the payroll expense cost correction process in Workday, and updating all reports that have financial data.

Effective 7/1/2024, any new staffing or organization changes that require financial organizations to be listed will need to include a new COA or POETAF string. To prepare for this, please take the following trainings in Workday Learning:
