Computer Management Administrators User Group

The UChicago Computer Management Administrator's User Group is a community for IT administrators across University departments who manage macOS and Windows endpoints. The group meets regularly to share best practices, discuss tooling (Jamf Pro, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, CrashPlan), and coordinate on enterprise-wide endpoint management initiatives. It serves as a forum for peer knowledge exchange between central IT Services and departmental IT.

What the group offers:

  • Meetings every third Wednesday of the month with presentations from Desktop Engineering and guest speakers

  • Shared resources, such as documentation, scripts, and configuration guides

  • Collaboration on policy changes that affect departmental device management

  • A direct channel between central IT Services Desktop Engineering and distributed IT administrators
