The IT Services TechBar provides technology support for University of Chicago instructors, students, and staff.
TechBar Hours
Monday–Friday
10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- View today’s hours of operation (hours change based on holidays, academic quarters, and special events).
- You also may view the hours of operation for all libraries for a week-by-week listing of library hours.
For critical emergencies (such as application outages or inability to access network resources), contact IT Services at 773.702.5800.

In-Person Technology Support
Located on the first floor of the Joseph Regenstein Library, support is only minutes away from the academic heart of campus. We can help with almost any University technology resource — or get you to the right people.
Equipment Lending
We offer free equipment lending for students, instructors, and staff. We stock PC and Macintosh laptops, iPads, and multimedia equipment, including digital cameras. We also have an assortment of cables, as well as video and power adapters. Most equipment is available for eight hours, while power adapters are available for two hours.
Conference Space
The TechBar has space available to reserve. Facilities include a conference space that can accommodate up to 20 people and a private video conferencing suite that can host up to six people. At least one week’s notice is recommended to reserve the space. There is no cost for space reservations or video conferencing.
