Student Printing

Helpful Information

Eligibility

All active students enrolled in a degree-granting or credit program of study are eligible for printing. 

 

Paying for Printing 

The first step for students to be able to print is to sign up for Phoenix cASH. Printing charges are deducted from a student’s Phoenix cASH account. 

 

Printing Rates

Printing rates include all paper sizes (letter, legal, and tabloid).

  • black and white: $0.09 per page 

  • color: $0.15 per page 

  • scan: free 

Submitting Print Jobs 

Students can submit print jobs by logging into the Printing Web Portal. This portal will also provide students with current Phoenix cASH balances and other printing information. 

 

Releasing Print Jobs

You can release a print job at any of the designated student printers by ‘Tapping’ your UChicago ID card at the printer. View instructions for how to log in to the printer.

Printers for student use have been installed in the Libraries and Residence Halls. See below for a list of designated printers.

  • Crerar, Lower Level, northwest 

  • D'Angelo Law, 2nd floor, Reserves Room [Law School only] 

  • Mansueto, Grand Reading Room 

  • Regenstein, all floors (see Regenstein floor maps for locations) 

  • Social Work, near circulation desk (Crown Family School only) 

Printers located in Residence Halls* 

  • Burton-Judson Courts 

  • Campus North Residential Commons 

  • International House 

  • Max Palevsky Residential Commons, Central 

  • Snell-Hitchcock Hall 

  • Renee Granville-Grossman Residential Commons 

  • Woodlawn Residential Comm 

*Printers in residence halls are accessible to on-campus residents only. 

 

Other Locations include the following buildings:

  • Arley D. Cathey Learning Center, Harper Memorial Library 

  • Café Logan, Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 1st Floor
