What is Managed Printing?

IT Services supports the Managed Print Service for faculty, staff, and students. The Managed Print Service supports secure printing from desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.

Department Participation (Faculty and Staff)

Department administrators oversee the Managed Print Service. Learn more about how your department can participate in the service.

Student Printing

Students can use the Printing Web Portal to print to locations in the Libraries and Residence Halls. For additional information specific to Student Printing, see the Student Printing Web Portal article in the Knowledgebase.

Coming Soon: Library Visitor Printing

Registered Library guests will soon be able to print by purchasing a guest printing card at vending machines in the libraries for $5.00. Instructions on how to use the printing system will be printed on the back of the cards. Guest Card Vending Machines will be located in the following areas of the Regenstein Library:

Ex Libris Cafe vending machines.
A-Level vending area.

Guests will log in to the Printing Web Porta l to submit print jobs using the PIN number located on the card. The guest can log in to any of the Library’s printers by selecting the ‘ID number’ on the printer's user interface screen and authenticating with the PIN number to release print jobs.

Please note: devices must be on the University network or connected to the UChicago cVPN to access the printing web portal.
