Ask for Help

In July, the University of Chicago launched its new financial system, Oracle Cloud ERP, replacing the University's 40-year-old, mainframe-based system. Oracle users have access to system support in the following ways:

In addition to support for Oracle users with questions or issues using the system, the teams will also be available to address technical difficulties with the system itself (configuration, security, and integration fixes).

The Knowledge and Optimization Organization Support Center will continue to provide help with issues related to HR (excluding benefits), payroll, and finance, and the ITS Help Desk will continue to provide help with general IT issues such as using Zoom and Duo. Both will remain available at the same points of contact listed above.

The Training Center invites anyone with questions about procurement, grants, core finance, the chart of accounts, and role assignment to join the virtual office hours for hands-on support, held via Zoom on the bi-weekly Friday mornings listed below. You are encouraged to use the on-demand resources first, leverage the support center, and if additional support is needed, attend the office hours.

Regular Bi-Weekly Friday Office Hours for General Support:

  • June 13 and 27, 9 to 11 a.m.

  • July 11 and 25, 9 to 11 a.m.

To support of the fiscal year-end process, the Training Center also is offering special bi-weekly Monday office hours in June and July to help the campus with their year-end close needs:

  • June 16 and 30, 11 a.m. to noon.

  • July 14 and 28, 11 a.m. to noon
