UChicago Recognition Hub launches to foster a culture of staff recognition
The University of Chicago's Human Resources team is dedicated to building institutional capacity to advance the University's mission in providing excellence in education, research and innovation. As a strategic partner, we collaborate with the divisions and units to attract, develop, reward and engage diverse talent to meet their specific goals and those of the University overall. - University HolidaysThe University recognizes nine days during the year as paid holidays.
- Medical Plans and InsuranceThere are four types of medical plans to choose from—two Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans and two Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans.
- Tuition BenefitsBenefits-eligible staff and academics can receive tuition discounts under the educational assistance plan.
- Alternative Work ArrangementsSome positions may be eligible for remote, hybrid or flexible work schedules on a temporary or long-term basis.

- Birth, Adoption, and Legal GuardianshipYou can change your benefits and dependents coverage following the birth, adoption, or legal guardianship of a child.
- Change Your AddressAny time you move, be sure to log in to Workday to update your home address.
- Planning for RetirementIf you are planning to retire from the University, there are several steps you should take to ensure that you receive all of your benefits.
