2026 Benefits Open Enrollment

November 3 - November 17, 2025

Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to select the combination of benefits that are right for you and your family for the upcoming calendar year - whether that is making changes to your current coverage or enrolling in coverage for the first time. Beginning November 3, 2025, and ending November 17, 2025, you will be able to add, change or remove coverage from your current benefit plans by logging into your Workday account at workday.uchicago.edu and completing the Open Enrollment task found in your inbox. Any new elections and all changes will become effective January 1, 2026 and continue through December 31, 2026.

With the exception of Supplemental Life Insurance, no additional changes will be permitted before 2027, unless you experience a qualified life change event.

Learn more about qualified life change events by visiting this page.
